Elena Bodikova

Elena Bodikova has more than 20 years of experience in the field of environmental protection and waste management. She is currently CEO of SLOVMAS, a. s., which is an organization of producer responsibility under the Waste Act. Prior to that, she held various positions at the Centre for Waste Management and Environmental Management of the Slovak Environment Agency, where she held the position of Director for more than 4 years.

She has extensive experience in management and leadership of national and international teams in the field of environmental protection and waste management as well as with the implementation and creation of international conventions on both European and national level.

She also works as a lecturer for waste and packaging legislation. She publishes in several professional, specialised magazines and portals, and actively speaks at national and international events. Elena participates in national and international projects and provides advice on the development of national laws in the field of waste management in the countries of the CEE region. She participates in professional activities in the field of waste management focused on various regions of Europe and the Mediterranean region funded by the European Commission, the Secretariat of the Basel Convention, as well as the private sector from various countries.
